他睁开眼睛。
陌生的天花板。刷着惨白的颜色，毫无生气又纤尘不染。转过头去，是同样白色的窗帘。浓郁的日光浸透了它们，白得更加耀眼，仿佛正在燃烧。
他侧耳倾听。似乎在门外的某个空旷走廊，传来冰河和瞬的声音。他们一直在小声交谈，但说什么内容，他完全听不清楚。
这时，又有一个女声加入了谈话……是春丽？
是的！春丽怎么在这里？
他的心脏接着猛跳了几下，忽然间一切一清二楚。
这里是……医院。古拉度财团的医院。过一会儿，春丽他们会进来看他的情况；再过一会儿，他会感觉良好，去星矢的病房打个招呼……
他深深呼出一口气……是的，就是这样。他永远记得星矢穿着病号服叫他名字的样子……他站在病床边睁大了的眼睛，一脸惊喜，眼睛闪亮着。他笑着叫“紫龙”，仿佛他们不是刚恶战一场，而是隔世重逢……
走廊里的谈话声接近了，他闭上眼睛。
不，这不是死，这只是一个好梦。而他，需要的不是虚无的梦境。
他想要的，是死。
这就是死吗？
他睁开眼睛。
门。他站在一扇古老的门之前。与叹息之壁相仿，这门高大而不知尽头，古老得超越了认知。门之侧，是虚无的空间；门之后，隐约传来海浪般的低语。
他正迟疑着，门就开了。
无数灵魂的微光从门缝里涌出，它们牵扯着他，推搡着他。一瞬间，他就被卷到了半空……
如果这就是他要的……他甚至想微笑了……
不！他猛然闭上眼睛。这不是死，这只是又一个美好的梦。
他知道在最后一刻他会回到门外。等着他的是加米尔高原蔚蓝的天空，和他新生的天龙座圣衣。他会赶着去杀生谷找星矢，不顾一切……直到贵鬼把那只小小的铃铛交给他……
那铃铛他还记得。细细的红线穿过，清澈的声音还如在耳畔……“听到铃声，就知道彼此还活着”……活着，活着……而他现在只想看到死。
这就是死吗？
他睁开眼睛。
他没有怀抱希望，却看见了死亡。那铅灰色的山峦的阴影铺向天际，同样铅灰色的天空下，人们排着队列，无声地走向死之国度。
黄泉比良坂，他认识这个地方。也许，有一条道路可以通往阿格龙河，再向着上游遥远的深处前行……超越数百亿的光芒，超越数千亿的黑暗，而最终到达那片绿野。
不……这仍旧不是死。这仍旧是一个无限美好的梦罢了。
再过一小会儿，迪斯马斯克会来和他战斗……然后的然后，当一切都结束，当他在女神小宇宙的温暖下醒来时，他看到星矢握着他的手……用那双因战斗而粗糙、沾满血、布满伤痕的手紧紧地握住他的，手心里都是汗……而他含泪的笑却是如此灿烂……
美梦，毫无用处。他又一次闭上眼睛。
他在恍惚中游荡，他追寻着他想要的那个东西。
遥远的，好像隔了一个世界，有个声音在轻声问他。
“紫龙啊，为什么在睡梦里你都看上去那么忧伤？”
他无声作答：“……因为我已失去了力量。”
又一个清晨的微光中，他醒来。
